Backup Care Program
Caremark offers Backup Care Options, a unique backup care program, administered by Work Options Group, to support employees when they experience a temporary breakdown in their normal care arrangements and need to get to work. Through this benefit, employees have access to experienced Backup Care Specialists 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These Specialists find and schedule care on your behalf so you can get to work with confidence, knowing your loved ones are in skilled hands. Anyone who counts on you as their primary caregiver – infants through the elderly – qualifies for this program. Adult family members who need care do not have to be living with you. WORK OPTIONS GROUP
1100 South McCaslin Blvd.
Suite 200
Superior, CO 80027 Once your registration is complete, you simply need to contact Work Options Group as soon as you know backup care will be needed. It typically takes the care specialist between 2 – 4 hours to find care, so it is in your best interest not to wait until the last minute to request care, whenever possible. Once the available backup options have been determined, the specialist will contact you to discuss your options, and schedule care. It is important to note that you must cancel care at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled care start time or you will be charged the copayment, and the hours of cancelled care will be deducted from your annual allotment. This policy is also applicable for care that is scheduled less than 24 hours in advance. If you cancel scheduled care less than 24 hours in advance on 3 or more occasions per year, you will be charged an additional cancellation fee of $100 per occurrence. After backup care has been utilized, you will receive an invoice from Work Options within 30 days. You may pay the invoice either by check or by credit card. Please note, that if your account remains unpaid 30 days after you have been invoiced, your account will be suspended, and no care will be available until your balance has been paid in full.
